After the Final Battle

When the Final Battle first broke out, Sunset Shimmer knew nothing about it. She only sensed that no news had come from Equestria for some time, and every portal to Equestria had either failed or been shut. A sense of foreboding began to haunt her. After the Starlight–Discord uprising failed, Discord found the magic notebook through which Princess Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer had communicated, and gave it to Starlight Glimmer; having made contact with Sunset Shimmer, Starlight told her everything that had happened in Equestria. Because time passes at different rates, Sunset Shimmer realised that several years had passed in Equestria during her few months, and that the world she knew had been turned upside down.
