The Windigos feed on conflict and strife: the fiercer the conflict between the tribes, the stronger they grew, bringing cold and wild winds to all Equestria. * As the three tribes' kingdoms perished one after another in the ice and snow and the tribes migrated west as a whole, the last members of the three tribes came to their senses, ended their strife, formed the Three Tribes' Pact, and founded a unified Equestria. * As Equestria developed, its six heroes — the “Six Sages”: Star Swirl the Bearded, Meadowbrook, Flash Magnus, Somnambula, Mistmane and Rockhoof — appeared and became the guardians of Equestria.
